Eat Local Campaign
Give your guests what they want with Eat Local, an annual campaign focused on celebrating local produce. Eat Local drives sales while meeting customer demand for local produce and supporting the midsized American family farm and local communities. Under Compass Group’s Sustainability Platform, our definition of local produce includes regional – defined as being within 400 miles of the cafe. This allows us to support a greater number of farms and increase the amount of local produce we purchase.
In 2020, we purchased over 46 million pounds of produce from local vendors, equating to 21% of total spend.
